Restoring a Building to Its Original Use
This project involved the renovation of a century old mixed-use building on Broadway in Bayonne, New Jersey to create a 4 unit apartment complex over retail space. A two-story addition enlarged the second and third floors, which each contain two two-bedroom dwelling units. The rear unit on each floor will have a deck. The ground floor houses commercial space.
Due to the prior use of the building’s upper floors for commercial purpose and the size of the rear addition, Site Plan approval was needed from the City of Bayonne Planning Board, which was received in 2016.
Building is currently under construction.
Restoring A Small Mixed Use Building
This project involved repair and alterations to a small single 1,260 sf apartment unit that is located over a car repair garage in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
The apartment unit had been damaged from a fire that started in the unit and destroyed the roof. Our scope of work involved designing new roof framing and redesigning the apartment layout, which has three bedrooms.
